Frequently Asked Questions

Acupressure and acupuncture are used for a wide range of conditions, from neurological conditions such as stroke, paralysis, lime disease, fertility, and pregnancy to painful conditions such as arthritis, headache, and back pain. Too many conditions have been helped by acupuncture to be listed, but for a limited list of conditions treatable by acupuncture, check out the World Health Organization (WHO) site.

After your first or second session, you may notice improvements such as feeling more relaxed, thinking clearly, and having increased energy. These indicate better blood and qi flow. With continued therapy, you might experience specific benefits related to your goals, like increased mobility in stiff joints or muscles, reduced pain, and an improved mood. You can track your progress using menstrual charts or pain scales. You might even be able to lower your medication dosage, but consult your doctor before making any changes, as stopping medication suddenly can cause serious side effects.

In the beginning, you may need to visit for acupressure , or acupuncture once a week. In some cases, however, it might be necessary to come every three, four, or even six weeks. This frequency often depends on the severity of your health condition, the natural cycles that influence it, and whether both your mind and body are deeply affected, which may require a longer period between therapies for proper adjustment.

Acupressure and acupuncture are safe when performed using proper methodologies. Studies support this claim when these practices are carried out by a fully trained professional who adopts a holistic approach to assess the person and their entire system.

According to the Five Elements Theology from Tamil Saivism, also known as Saiva Siddhantham, the elements consist of Water (blood), Earth (bones and flesh), Air (the movement of air within the body, which represents inner balance), and Fire (the heat within the body). These elements are created from a root source known as Space (Prabanjam) or Kosmiline. Our objective is to focus on the core.

In Ancient Tamil,

AA UU MM (OHM) is referred to as Pranavam Porul.

AA represents Agaram,

UU represents Ugaram,

MM represents Magaram.

This concept begins from a single source or point, which expands out of a curiosity stemming from an uncompressed force. This expansion leads to circular motion, similar to how space itself is expanding, with objects within it moving in circular paths while being drawn toward their internal forces and attracted to one another.

Choosing alternative medicine is often influenced by recommendations from friends and neighbours. When a family benefits from traditional treatments, they typically encourage others to try them as well. Having a background in traditional medicine enhances a practitioner’s ability to diagnose and achieve successful outcomes. Extensive training in ancient medical methods, ideally lasting at least 10 years, is important for identifying root causes of health issues and understanding that human knowledge alone may be inadequate. Practitioners should have a recognized university degree, endorsed by medical boards from various countries, completing at least three years in Bachelor’s and Master’s programs focused on alternative medicine. Approachability is crucial for practitioners, as patients may view them as ‘magical.’ Thorough case-taking is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Since 2003, true yoga masters have become almost extinct and not are largely invisible to the outside world. In the Western context, many so-called yoga and spiritual leaders focus more on business than on genuine spirituality. They attract large followings, establish ashrams, and lead luxurious lifestyles while claiming to be the only true masters. The earliest references to yoga are found in Tamil literature, specifically in the *Thirumandiram* from 1200 BC. Ethical guidelines for yoga masters are outlined in the *Thirukural*, which dates back 600 BC.

Your inner journey is so important! If you’re looking for true yoga masters, remember they don’t always need to be in physical form. Just open yourself to the blessings of a higher consciousness!
